Eugene Rodier launched his esteemed textile company in France in 1850. He created innovative fabrics and colours and was responsible for the creation of "kasha" (a type of cashmere). Most importantly he introduced us to "jersey', a fabric which was to lead to a successful collaboration between Rodier and another fashion innovator Coco Chanel. The company launched it's ready-to-wear collection in the 50's and today it is associated with that quirky and desirable French-chic style.
