Hip measurement

Hip measurement is the width of a person’s hips, used to calculate their body shape. This can be tricky to measure in the right place. It is not where the top of your hipbone is, it is around the fullest part of your hip/butt area – which is approximately 15-18cm (6-7 inches) down from your waist. Measure all the way around. Tip: Measure in your underwear, if possible and do not pull the tape too tight.

Hip-to-shoulder

Hip-to-shoulder refers to the width ratio of the hips versus the width ratio of the shoulders. The aim is to balance these proportions out.
